Sometimes referred to as ‘Tibetan Blue’, the famous and elusive Himalayan Blue Poppy is an exceptionally attractive perennial plant that is ideally suited for the shade garden. Growing 90-120 cm tall and producing beautiful 8 to 10 cm silky blooms, they thrive in shade, acid soil and cool, humid conditions. Although not suited for all climates, they are actually quite easy to grow and hardy to -23 °C. A rare and special poppy for collectors, this unique variety is well worth trying and immensely rewarding to view in bloom.
