Pinus patula or Mexican Weeping Pine as it is commonly known is a Stunning pine tree native to Mexico. It grows to 30 m in height. It does not stand long periods of temperatures below -10°C, but is resistant to frost for short periods of time. Once established they are very drought tolerant. This is a beautiful ornamental tree. The timber is pale-pink to salmon, moderately soft, brittle and smelling strongly of aniseed when freshly cut.
