Braunsia is a genus of succulent plant in the family Aizoaceae, indigenous to South Africa.

Braunsia apiculata is a South African endemic mesemb succulent from the Northern Cape and Western Cape Provinces. It is synonymously known as Echinus apiculatus and Mesembryanthemum apiculatum. This succulent grows to 15 cm tall with swollen leaf pairs. During spring it bears eye-catching magenta flowers.
