Shipping Terms and Conditions

South African Customers

  1. All seed orders are shipped using domestic courier to door delivery service at a flat rate, currently R110.00. You can combine as many packets of seeds as you like into one parcel at this flat rate.
  2. Larger items will incur a higher rate and will be calculated based on the total weight of your order.
  3. We offer free domestic courier to door shipping for seed orders over R700.00. This is applicable to Seed orders only. Free shipping is not applicable to larger items, remote areas and international shipping.
  4. PostNet courier store to store is available on request at the same flat rate. Please be sure to include your PostNet branch details when completing your order and to select the PostNet store to store option. If the PostNet branch is not completed at checkout and/or the PostNet store to store shipping option is not selected, then the parcel will be sent with courier to door service to the shipping address on the order. PostNet parcels are shipped on Fridays only.
  5. Outlying areas or farms may incur additional courier charges. If we are aware of this, we will advise you before shipping or alternatively, the courier may require payment before delivery.
  6. Orders are processed on a first come first served basis and are shipped within 2 to 3 working days of receipt of full payment of an order. We do however endeavour to ship orders on the same or next working day, provided payment has cleared before 10h00 that day.
  7. Your tracking number will be sent to you via email when we process your order, together with a link where you can track your order.
  8. Courier collection and delivery days are Monday to Friday, excluding public holidays.
  9. Deliveries will be made by the courier to the address stipulated in your order. You must ensure that someone over the age of 18 is present to accept and sign for the delivery. If no one of that age is at the address when the delivery is attempted the goods may be retained by the driver.
  10. Delivery times are determined by the courier and we cannot guarantee specific delivery times.
  11. When your goods arrive, it is important that you check immediately the condition and quantity. If your goods have been damaged in transit, you must refuse the delivery and immediately contact us so that we may ship a replacement quickly and minimise your inconvenience. Signing “Unchecked”, “Not Checked” or similar is not acceptable.
  12. We do not make use of the South African Post Office.
  13. We do not cater for collections from our premises.

International Customers

Seeds and All are licensed importers and exporters and have been sending seeds to international buyers for over 16 years.  Importing and exporting of seeds to different countries is subject to various import requirements and control measures which varies from country to country. For this reason, when you complete your order on checkout, you will not yet be able to proceed  to make payment. Your order will be placed on hold and we will send you an email regarding import requirements and international shipping.

  1. Shipping Options: We will obtain quotations for tracked and non-tracked options using a re-mailing service where parcels are bulk shipped to the United Kingdom once a week and then enter the Royal Mail postal system where they are then distributed to their destination countries. Depending on the size or your order and the destination country, untracked shipping starts at R265.00 (Depending on the exchange rate, this is around $14.44 USD) and priority tracked shipping starts at R960.00 (Depending on the exchange rate, this is around $52.16 USD). It is important to take note that these rates fluctuate monthly which is why we cannot offer a flat rate and must obtain quotations at the time of the order. We do not make use of the South African Post Office.
  2. Payment:  Payment is done through PayFast, South Africa’s leading payment gateway. PayFast offers secure payment options for our international customers including Visa credit and debit cards, Mastercard credit and debit cards, ApplePay, and SamsungPay. Once you have accepted a shipping quote, we will update your order and send you a payment request from PayFast. We cannot accept PayPal Payments.
  3. Import Requirements: You, as the buyer, are responsible for ensuring that you abide by the laws of your country when importing seeds. We do our best to ensure correct procedure is followed based on the information provided by our customers. Seeds and All will not accept liability for any parcels that may be delayed, returned, confiscated or destroyed by customs or any other agency, for whatever reason, nor any other consequences that may be incurred due to not abiding to the laws of your country.
  4. Phytosanitary Certificate: Some countries require a phytosanitary certificate. If you would like us to apply for one, the current costs involved in applying for one are as follows: Plant inspection services: R 355.00 per shipment. (This is based on inspection time taking 30 minutes. Should the inspection take longer, the Department of Agriculture will charge an additional R 290.00 for every extra 30 minutes or part thereof. This would really only apply to exceptionally large orders) Phytosanitary Certificate Application: R 420.00 per shipment. TOTAL: R 775.00 (Non-refundable)
  5. Customs: We are required to complete either a CN22 or CN23 customs declaration noting the contents as seeds and the value thereof. You, as the buyer, are responsible for payment of any import duties and taxes levied in your country. We are required by law to declare the contents as seeds and cannot entertain any requests for false declarations on customs documentation. Should your parcel be held by the customs authority in your country, you as the buyer are responsible for liaising with them to sort out any queries they may have. Seeds and All does not deal directly with foreign customs authorities.
  6. International shipping is not insured and can be risky. While 99%, the majority, of parcels arrive safely at their destination, there is always a slight chance that a parcel can go missing. By proceeding with your order, you agree to accept all risk should the parcel not reach its destination.
