Leptactina delagoensis, synonymously known as Leptactina benguelensis and commonly known as Sand Nightstar, is a South African indigenous species found in the KwaZulu-Natal and Limpopo provinces. It grows into an erect or somewhat scrambling deciduous shrub or small tree. The bark is smooth, peeling and reddish to grey, brown. The young branchlets are covered in rusty hairs. From late spring to late summer, it produces striking white sweetly scented star shaped flowers that open in the evening.
