Aloe glabrescens

Aloe glabrescens is a striking, collector-grade aloe with a bold desert silhouette: a compact, ground-hugging rosette of stiff, dagger-like leaves that can take on deep smoky bronze to dark olive tones under bright sun and dry conditions. It has that “sculpted by the landscape” look that aloe enthusiasts love—clean lines, dramatic form, and a rugged, natural presence that reads beautifully in rock gardens, arid landscaping, and specimen containers alike.

Aloe glabrescens is associated with the arid south-western parts of Africa, where it grows in open, dry terrain—typically sandy to gravelly ground with scattered low shrubs and plenty of sun.
