Papaver is a genus of 70 to 100 species of frost-tolerant annuals, biennials, and perennials native to temperate and cold regions of Eurasia, Africa and North America. It is the type genus of the poppy family, Papaveraceae.

This fully double variety has 10-12 cm frilly blooms that look as much like peonies as poppies. The salmon-pink petals gradually fade with age producing a stunning effect. The blooms arise on erect, sturdy stems on plants 60-90 cm high and with a spread of about 30 cm. They make good cut flowers. Blooms are followed by handsome seedpods that are highly sought after for use in dried arrangements. A true beauty for your sunny garden!
