Oxyanthus is a genus of plants in the family Rubiaceae.

Oxyanthus pyriformis commonly known as Hat-pins Loquat is a South African endemic species from the KwaZulu-Natal Province. It is synonymously known as Oxyanthus natalensis. Oxyanthus pyriformis grows into a shrub or multi-stemmed tree. It has shiny, dark green quilted leaves. It bears clusters of scented white flowers which are moth pollinated. This plant prefers a shady spot in the garden.
