The genus Cysticapnos is in the family Papaveraceae in the major group Angiosperms.

Cysticapnos vesicaria commonly known as Klapklappie, Klapper or Klappertjies is an annual vine. During spring it bears eye-catching pale pink and yellow flowers which are followed by bladder-like fruits. Cysticapnos vesicaria is a South African endemic species found in the Northern Cape and Western Cape Provinces.
