Lobelia is a genus of flowering plants in the Campanulaceae family comprising 415 species, of which 69 are indigenous to South Africa.

Lobelia barkerae is a critically endangered South African endemic perennial groundcover found in the Western Cape, ranging from Potberg to Albertsdal growing on sandstone amongst fynbos. From spring to summer it produces an abundance of violet to blue flowers.
