Lobelia is a genus of flowering plants in the Campanulaceae family comprising 415 species, of which 69 are indigenous to South Africa.

Lobelia capillifolia, synonymously known as Rapuntium capillifolium, is a South African endemic broom-like perennial up to 50cm tall found in the Western Cape province. The leaves are sparse, narrowly linear up to 25mm long, entire or with scattered minute teeth. From spring to summer it produces blue and white flowers.
