Moraea cuspidata is a South African endemic perennial geophyte found in the Western Cape and Northern Cape provinces, Roggeveld Escarpment, Klein Roggeveld and hills around Touwsrivier and Matjiesfontein, eastwards to the Groot Swartberg and Outeniqua mountains. It is often encountered growing along with fynbos in sandy loam soils. Growing from 18 to 30 cm tall, during spring the pale blue, mauve, or violet flowers with large white fuzzy nectar guides spotted with dark blue on a white background appears.
