Albuca is a fascinating African genus of bulbous plants in the asparagus family, Asparagaceae, with its native range extending across Africa and into the Arabian Peninsula. Albuca decipiens is a South African endemic species that was previously known as Ornithogalum decipiens. It grows to 80cm tall with 4 to 6 channelled leaves. During spring it bears erect white flowers with green keels.
