Amblygonocarpus andongensis or Scotsman’s rattle as it is commonly known forms a spreading tree 15-20m in height. It has brown/black bark and attractive compound leaves. During spring it bears creamy-yellow spikes of flowers which are followed by glossy brown pods with marked ridges.
