Aridaria is a small genus of flowering plants in the family Aizoaceae. Like several other genera, this genus and several others were transferred into Mesembryanthemum in 2007. In 2009 this move was reversed by other authors. There are four accepted species, namely Aridaria brevicarpa, Aridaria noctiflora, Aridaria semtina and Aridaria vespertina. The genus name, Aridaria, is derived from the Latin word aridus which means dry, referring to the arid, karoid habitat where these plants naturally occur.

Aridaria noctiflora, commonly known by the vernacular names Vleisbos, Brakveldwitvygie or Vyebos, is a South African indigenous succulent mesemb found in the Northern Cape and Western Cape Provinces. It is an erect succulent shrub with a woody stem and succulent roots.
