Aloe gneissicola – Gneiss Aloe

It’s a highly “habitat-looking” species—perfect for growers who want that authentic desert aesthetic in a pot, rockery, or xeric landscape.

This aloe forms a neat, symmetrical rosette of firm, lance-shaped leaves in cool blue-green to grey-green tones, made even more striking by warm reddish margins and small, regular marginal teeth. In strong light and dry conditions the edging and outer leaf surfaces can deepen toward coppery red, giving the plant a crisp, sculpted look against pale, sandy soils.
