Corymbium is a genus of flowering plants in the Asteraceae family comprising nine species. It is the only genus in the subfamily Corymbioideae and the tribe Corymbieae. The species have leaves with parallel veins. Remarkable for species in the daisy family, each flower head contains just one, bisexual, mauve, pink or white disc floret. The species are all endemic to the Cape Floristic Region of South Africa, where they are known as plampers.
Corymbium glabrum, synonymously known as Corymbium harveyanum, Corymbium latifolium, Corymbium nervosum, Corymbium nervosum var. subulifolium or Corymbium salteri, is found in the Eastern Cape, Northern Cape and Western Cape provinces. The plant grows up to 60cm tall. The leaves are smooth, broad, strongly veined and sword shaped. The stem and bracts are smooth. The flowers are deep pink in laxish flower heads on different planes.
