This handsome heirloom variety of Cosmidium is rarely offered nowadays but it has been in cultivation since the 19th Century. This easy-to-grow annual has attractive flowers with chocolate brown centers and golden-yellow edges. It is somewhat similar to coreopsis in habit and care, but the flowers have more refined and uniform edges. Plants have finely cut foliage and grow to a height and width of 50 to 60cm in full sun. Cosmidium ‘Brunette’ flowers 3 months from sowing and continuing throughout the summer. These are great as a border plant and excellent as cut flowers.
