Euryops is a genus of 97 species in the sunflower family, Asteraceae. They are native mostly to rocky sites in southern Africa, with a few species in other parts of Africa and on the Arabian Peninsula. They produce daisy-like flower heads from fern-like foliage.

Euryops namaquensis is a South African endemic species from the Western Cape Province where it can be found growing in Succulent Karoo on quartz patches on hills from Vanrhynsdorp and Knersvlakte. It grows into a shrublet of up to 50cm tall. It has narrow leaves and tiny yellow flowers during winter. These are followed by decorative heads of white fluffy seeds. It is best sown during autumn.
