Lobelia is a genus of flowering plants in the Campanulaceae family comprising 415 species, of which 69 are indigenous to South Africa.

Lobelia giberroa is another Ugandan Lobelia that flowers all year round. It’s from 2-9m tall when in flower. It has a thick woody stem and a rosette of large hairy leaves with serrated margins. It has a dense inflorescence made up of a multitude of small flowers with greenish corollas tinged with blue.
