Lobelia is a genus of flowering plants in the Campanulaceae family comprising 415 species, of which 69 are indigenous to South Africa.

Lobelia wollastonii is from 2-7m tall when in flower. It has a woody stem with hairy leaves in a large rosette. It has a dense inflorescence. The calyx & pedicels are densely shaggy and the blue corollas split to base on the back. This species naturally occurs in Uganda.
