Moraea karroica, synonymously known as Homeria tricolor and commonly known as Karoo Capetulip, is a South African endemic perennial geophyte found in the Northern Cape and Western Cape provinces from Ceres to Barrydale and the western Karoo growing in clay soils in renosterveld, often coexisting with fynbos. Growing from 15-30 cm tall it has a single clasping leaf and salmon to deep pink flowers with a yellow centre edged in red or purple during spring.
