Moraea melanops, commonly known as Blackeye Galaxy, is an endangered South African endemic perennial geophyte found in the Western Cape province from Caledon and Bredasdorp, often amongst fynbos, on clay slopes in renosterveld. During spring it produces very attractive pink flowers with blue cups.
