Moraea viscaria, commonly known as Trailing Tulip in English and Taai-uintjie or Teer-uintjie in Afrikaans and synonymously known as Iris viscaria, Moraea odorata or Vieusseuxia viscaria, is a South African endemic perennial geophyte found in the Western Cape province growing on sandy or stony flats and slopes amongst fynbos in coastal areas between Saldanha Bay and Cape Agulhas. Growing from 20 to 45cm tall, during spring it has white, fragrant flowers that open late afternoon and fade by early evening.
