Scabiosa tysonii, commonly known as Wild Scabious, is a South African endemic perennial found in the Eastern Cape and KwaZulu-Natal province. During autumn it produces mauve flowers that attract bees, butterflies and insectivorous birds to the garden. It grows to 20 to 60cm tall which makes it an excellent choice for border planting.
