Kalanchoe also written Kalanchöe or Kalanchoë, is a genus of about 125 species of tropical, succulent flowering plants in the Family Crassulaceae.

Kalanchoe brachyloba commonly known as Short-lobed Kalanchoe is a South African indigenous species from the Free State, Gauteng, KwaZulu-Natal, Limpopo, Mpumalanga, Northern Cape and North West Provinces. It is synonymously known as Kalanchoe multiflora, Kalanchoe pruinosa and Kalanchoe pyramidalis. Kalanchoe brachyloba forms a rosette of leaves with toothed to lobed margins. During autumn it sends up a 2 meter long flower spike with a flat-topped head of yellowish-green flowers.
