Chaenostoma is a genus of flowering plants belonging to the family Scrophulariaceae. Its native range is Southern Tropical and Southern Africa. The genus name, Chaenostoma, means gaping mouth.

Chaenostoma aethiopicum, synonymously known as Buchnera aethiopica, Chaenostoma fastigiatum var. glabratum, Chaenostoma fastigiatum, Manulea cephalotes, Manulea aethiopica, Polycarena aethiopica, Sutera aethiopica, Sutera cephalotes, Sutera cephalotes var. glabrata or Sutera fastigiata is a South African endemic species from the Western Cape Province. It grows into a shrublet of 30cm tall with opposite toothed leaves and short terminal racemes of pink or violet flowers with yellow throats in spring. Sow seeds in autumn in a well-drained medium.
