Moraea bifida, commonly known as Pink Cape Tulip and synonymously known as Homeria bifida or Homeria salmonea, is a South African endemic perennial geophyte found in the Western Cape and Northern Cape provinces from Eastern Namaqualand and Western Karoo to Pakhuis Pass, often amongst fynbos, growing on clay soils in renosterveld. Growing to about 50cm tall, it has one clasping channelled broad leaf and during spring salmon pink or yellow flowers minutely speckled in the centre with a bulbous filament column. The anthers cohere and conceal the style branches.
