The genus Stoebe is a fascinating and diverse group of plants belonging to the daisy family (Asteraceae), largely endemic to southern Africa. Stoebe cyathuloides, previously known as Stoebe humilis or Stoebe sphaerocephala and commonly known as Wingleaf Snakebush, is a South African endemic perennial shrub of around 80cm found in the Western Cape province, growing along the coast amongst fynbos from the Cape Peninsula to Albertinia. During summer the white to purple flowers that attract butterflies to the garden appear.
