Mitriostigma axillare or Dwarf-loquat as it is commonly known is a compact shrub usually found in forests. This makes it well suited to shady areas of the garden as well as indoors. From spring to summer it bears sweet orange blossom scented white flowers the age to yellow. These are followed by decorative round orange fruits.
